The Probation Department Thinks Lindsay Lohan Is Doing Okay . . . But Prosecutors Want Her Back in Jail

LINDSAY LOHAN has a status hearing today, and the probation department is reportedly in her corner.

–Despite allegedly being bounced from the women’s shelter where she was supposed to do the bulk of her community service, a source in the department told TMZ that she’s still on track to complete her hours within the year she was given.

–There have also been reports that Lindsay has been skipping out on court-ordered weekly psychiatric appointments.  But TMZ says her shrink is satisfied with how things are going.

–But the prosecutors at the L.A. City Attorney’s Office will reportedly argue that Lindsay violated her probation by being booted from the women’s shelter, and she needs to go BACK TO JAIL.

–Lindsay is now doing her community service at the Red Cross, and her rep says she’s been going EVERY DAY, and, quote, “working diligently to fulfill the other requirements of her probation.”

Karina Smirnoff Admits She and Tigers Pitcher Brad Penny Postponed Their Wedding Because of Work

“Dancing With the Stars” minx KARINA SMIRNOFF confirmed yesterday that she and Detroit Tigers pitcher BRAD PENNYpostponed their wedding because of work commitments.

–She said, quote, “It’s just this season is going so well for me and [partner] J.R. [Martinez] and I want to be able to concentrate 100% here.  And at the same time, concentrate on planning the wedding.  So together, it’s just impossible.

–But MICHELLE OBAMA says she only lets them on the condition that they learn the right lessons from it.  And we should probably note that the president himself isn’t a fan.

–Michelle says, quote, “Barack doesn’t like that as much.”

–”But I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, and I’m more concerned with how they take it in . . . what did you learn when you watched that.  And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, okay.”

Which Network Will Charlie Sheen’s New Show End Up At?

CHARLIE SHEEN’S new sitcom “Anger Management“ still doesn’t have a home . . . but it sounds like negotiations with various networks are heating up.  So where will it end up?

–Word has it that Charlie has pitched the show to all the major broadcast networks except CBS, which of course is the home of“Two and a Half Men”.

–There’s also the possibility that it could end up on cable.  Supposedly, there have been talks with Comedy Central, USA, FX and TV Land.

–A so-called “source” tells E! Online that Comedy Central, quote, “really wants the show,” but there’s no deal in place yet.

–By the way,“Two and a Half Men” slipped a little farther in the ratings this week, with 16.2 million.  Ashton Kutcher’s fourth episode attracted 1.5 million fewer viewers than the previous week’s show, but it’s still clinging to the Top 5 . . . for now.

–A woman called into an Ohio radio show yesterday . . . to say she saw Julianne at a club, making out with her “Footloose” costar KENNY WORMALD.

–It happened at a bar in Nashville.  The caller said the movie’s cast was in town for a screening of the movie.  She added, quote, “She was definitely not concerned about RYAN SEACREST that night.”

The “Footloose” Remake Is Up Against “The Thing” Prequel This Weekend

The remake stars Julianne Hough from “Dancing with the Stars”, Dennis Quaid as her dance-hating father, and an unknown kid named Kenny Wormald as Ren MacCormack, the character IMMORTALIZED by Kevin Bacon in the 1984 original.

#2.)  “The Thing“ (R)

Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays a scientist recruited by a Norwegian team that discovers a creature buried in the Antarctic.  But once they free it from the ice, it starts killing them off, and passing itself off as human by imitating each of its victims. It’s actually a prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic of the same name.

#3.)  “The Big Year“ (PG)

A comedy with Jack Black, Steve Martin, and Owen Wilson as three rivals who spend a year traveling together and competing in a bird-watching competition.  The rest of the cast includes Rashida Jones, Brian Dennehy, and Anjelica Houston.

The FBI Arrested a Guy for Posting Those Scarlett Johansson Nude Pics

The FBI has arrested a Jacksonville, Florida man they believe was behind the massive celebrity hacking scandal that led to the posting of those SCARLETT JOHANSSON nude pics.

–There were more than 50 victims in all, including Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Busy Philipps, Ali Larter and Mila Kunis.

–35-year-old Christopher Chaney has been charged with 26 counts of computer hacking, aggravated identity theft and wiretapping. He faces up to 121 years in federal prison.

–Authorities say Chaney hacked the stars’ Google, Apple and Yahoo e-mail accounts, and set them up so that every e-mail sent or received would automatically forward to him.

–In doing so, he was able to gain access to financial information, movie scripts, private e-mails, photos and contact lists that led him to other potential targets.

–And check out how SIMPLE it was for Chaney to hack these people:  The Feds say he combed through PUBLICLY AVAILABLE DATA in order to figure out the celebrities’ passwords and security question answers.

–The Feds didn’t say how they caught Chaney, but they believe he was working alone.  They also said he seemed to be doing this, quote, “just for kicks.”  There’s no evidence he profited from it.

–They called their investigation “Operation Hackerazzi”.

The Guy Who Threw the Hot Dog at Tiger Woods Was Inspired by the Movie “Drive”

The guy who threw the hot dog at TIGER WOODS during a tournament this past Sunday claims he was inspired to do so by the RYAN GOSLING movie “Drive”.  (???)

Brad Pitt’s Movie Set Was Raided by Hungarian Anti-Terrorist Cops . . . Because Someone Bought Guns with Live Ammo to Use as Props

The set of BRAD PITT’S zombie movie “World War Z” was raided by a Hungarian anti-terrorist unit . . . because somebody purchased REAL automatic weapons with LIVE ROUNDS in them to use as props.

–The cops took a total of 85 weapons, which were sold to the filmmakers under the false pretense that they were NON-FUNCTIONAL.  They were being held in a warehouse in Budapest, where the movie is being filmed.

–Obviously, this could have resulted in a tragic accident.

–Authorities are interviewing crewmembers, trying to figure out exactly how it happened.

Beyonce Is Due In February . . . And She Might Be Wearing a Fake Baby Bump

BEYONCÉ has revealed that she’s due to give birth to JAY-Z’S baby in February.

–She dropped the news on an Australian talk show, where she also said, quote, “[Being pregnant] already has changed my life.  My husband and I have been together for 10 years, all of my twenties.

The “Star” tabloid posted photos yesterday of Ashton and Demi sitting around a fire at by a lake California.

–They were taken Sunday by another camper, and Demi was NOT happy.  In some of the pics you can see that she ran up to the photographer to stop her.

Newlywed Paul McCartney is Going On Tour

–In an interview with the British edition of “GQ” magazine, Kristen said she wants to explore the UK while filming her “Snow White”movie because, quote, “my boyfriend is English.”

Kim Kardashian Wants to Wait a Year Before Getting Pregnant

KIM KARDASHIAN and KRIS HUMPHRIES don’t plan on starting a family just yet.  Kim tells E! News, quote, “I think we would wait like a year before we really start trying to have kids.

–”I think we want to figure out where he is gonna play and figure out like his career and like if we have to pack up and move somewhere, like the Midwest.  Who knows?”

–Chaz was at the absolute bottom of the leaderboard going into the elimination, but was among the first celebrities declared SAFE.

–It’s possible that Cher helped skew the vote with her Tweet.  But then again, Chaz has survived elimination twice already, despite having very weak dance skills.  So it seems he already had a decent support system going.

–In the end, it was actually one of the BEST dancers, reality TV star KRISTIN CAVALLARI, who was sent home.

–Interestingly, Kristin’s ex-fiancé, Chicago Bears quarterback JAY CUTLER, was in the audience during Monday’s show.  And yesterday, he and Kristen were seen HOLDING HANDS.  Nobody’s saying they’re back together . . . yet.

“Two and a Half Men” Had 8 Million Fewer Viewers in Its Second Week . . . But It’s Still the #1 Show in America

ASHTON KUTCHER’S second episode of “Two and a Half Men” was watched by 20.5 million people.  That’s down from the 28.5 million that tuned in to the season premiere, but still enough to keep the show at the top of the weekly ratings.

–It’ll be interesting to see how long that lasts though, since “Two and a Half Men” only beat “NCIS” by about a million viewers.

Will Madonna Be the Next Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer?

There’s a rumor going around that MADONNA will headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 5th in Indianapolis.

–If it happens, it would be Madonna’s first Super Bowl performance.  According to reports, she almost did it twice before . . . in 1998 and 2000 . . . but both times the negotiations fell through.

–SBNation.com is the site that is reporting this.  A rep for the NFL wouldn’t confirm OR deny it . . . and there’s also no word from Madonna’s people.

–It would be good timing for Madonna.  She’s releasing an album next spring, and the first single could be out around the time of the Super Bowl.

SETH ROGEN married his longtime girlfriend Lauren Miller on Saturday in Sonoma, California.

–The guest list can pretty much be described as the New Millennium Comedy All-Stars.  It included Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, director Judd Apatow and his wife Leslie Mann.

–One report even claims ADAM SANDLER was there.

Kevin Bacon Refused a Cameo in the “Footloose” Remake . . . Because He Didn’t Want to Cheapen It

One thing you won’t see in the upcoming “Footloose” remake is a cameo by KEVIN BACON.  But it’s not the fault of the writers, the producers or the director.  It was Kevin’s idea.

–Director Craig Brewer had a great part for Kevin, but Kevin turned it down.  Brewer says, quote, “Kevin was wise in saying no to it.  I think he had the right reason for it.

–”I think that he knew it would cheapen it somehow because if suddenly he showed up winking at the camera, it would have taken some of the teeth out of the narrative.”

(–I don’t know.  Is a “Footloose” movie really something that needs its integrity so closely safeguarded?  I think more people than not would ENJOY . . . and even EXPECT the cameo.)

–Speaking of “Footloose” . . . star JULIANNE HOUGH says RYAN SEACREST had trouble watching the movie because of a scene where she gets beaten up by an abusive boyfriend.

–She says, quote, “Ryan saw it and said, ‘I can’t watch that.’  He was like, ‘When he hits you I just want to punch the screen . . . When I see you pull some of those faces, those are the faces that I see, so you know so it’s hard for me to watch.’”
