Well, we can officially say that the nude SCARLETT JOHANSSON photos are REAL . . . because she’s threatening to sue any websites that post them.

–Her attorney sent letters to various sites asking them to take down what he called, quote, “stolen copyright protected private photographs.”

–The letter goes on to say, quote, “The highly personal and private photographs at issue capture our client self-posing in her own home in a state of undress and / or topless.”

Brad Pitt Says He Lived an Uninteresting Life When He Was Married to Jennifer Aniston . . . But He Doesn’t Blame Jennifer

BRAD PITT has never really been disrespectful to JENNIFER ANISTON since he ditched her for ANGELINA JOLIE . . . but some things he says in the new issue of “Parade” magazine sound a little below the belt:

–Brad gushes about his life with Angelina, saying, quote, ”I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.”

–He also calls her a great mom, and says that starting a family with her was, quote, “one of the greatest, smartest things I ever did.”

–Then he makes it sound like his life before, with Jennifer, was TOTAL CRAP.

–He says, quote, “I spent the ’90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony.  I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out.  It started feeling pathetic.

–”It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself.”

–He adds, quote, “I think that my marriage had something to do with it.  Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”

–But soon after those comments hit the web, Brad issued a statement clarifying that he wasn’t blaming Jennifer for anything.

–He said, quote, “It grieves me that this was interpreted this way.  Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend.  It is an important relationship I value greatly.

–”The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself . . . and that, I am responsible for.”

Daryl Hannah Got Arrested in Front of the White House for Protesting a Planned Oil Pipeline

DARYL HANNAH was among about 100 people who were arrested during a protest outside the White House yesterday.

–They were protesting a proposed oil pipeline that’s going to run from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast . . . hitting Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas along the way.

–Hannah and her fellow protesters were cuffed because they sat on the sidewalk near the White House and refused to move when U.S. Park Police told them to.

–Before her arrest, Hannah told reporters, quote, “Sometimes it’s necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom.

–”And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future.”

–Daryl was arrested two years ago while protesting mountaintop coal mining in West Virginia . . . and three years before that, she was arrested for protesting the planned destruction of an urban farm in Los Angeles.

Jon Cryer Will Not Participate in the Charlie Sheen Roast

As awesome as it would be, JON CRYER will NOT be participating in the CHARLIE SHEEN roast.  According to “Entertainment Weekly”, Jon won’t have any part in the roast whatsoever . . . but he plans to DVR it, quote, “out of curiosity.”

Over the weekend, rumors hit that NICOLE SCHERZINGER was engaged to her boyfriend.  Well, somehow the Internet got something wrong.

Is Simon Cowell Addicted to Anti-Aging Smoothies?

SIMON COWELL is 51, and according to a source, in his efforts to fight the effects of time and the damage smoking has done, he’s become addicted to . . . ANTI-AGING SMOOTHIES.

–The smoothies he likes include several made-up-sounding ingredients like lingonberries, chokeberries, aronia juice, and acerola berries.  They come out green and he calls them “swamp juice” because of their consistency.

–Simon’s friends are pushing him to stick with the smoothies.  They say he looks healthier than ever thanks to the drinks.

This Can’t End Well: Chris Brown Signs on to Star in a Romantic Comedy

–CHRIS BROWN . . . who, of course, altered the course of his career by badly beating up on his then-girlfriend RIHANNA . . . has signed on to star in a romantic comedy.  It’s just too soon.

–The movie is an adaptation of the book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” by  STEVE HARVEY.

–The book is about, quote, “what men really think about love, relationships, intimacy, and commitment.”  There’s no word on what role Brown is going to play.

More People Watched the Women’s World Cup Final than the MLB All-Star Game

13.5 million people tuned in to watch Team USA’s surprise loss in the Women’s World Cup Final on Sunday.   That’s 2.5 million MORE viewers than the MLB All-Star Game got. Isn’t baseball America’s favorite sport?? Maybe not. (–And don’t forget, the World Cup game was on CABLE.)

Celebrities give their kids stupid names.  It’s a fact.

–PINK and CAREY HART kind of bucked that trend.  They named their daughter Willow Sage, which isn’t that outrageous.  And the inspiration behind it is actually pretty cool.

–She’s basically named after a tree . . . but a really strong tree.  Pink says, quote, “The willow is my favorite tree.  I grew up near one. It’s the most flexible tree in nature and nothing can break it  . . . no wind, no elements.

–”It can bend and withstand anything.  I love that sentiment.  I want that for her.”

–She adds, quote, “Sage is cleansing and sacred.  And it sounded great together.  It doesn’t hurt that her last name is Hart . . . flexible cleansed heart.”

–Pink also says everything is going smoothly so far . . . despite a little chaos right at the beginning . . . quote, “We had one major meltdown the first night home.  Carey couldn’t figure out who to comfort first. It was pretty funny, actually.  Poor guy.

–”[Willow's] been amazing.  Everyone gives you this terrifying picture of no sleep at all, bickering which leads to divorce . . . they made it sound like waterboarding.

–”It’s not that bad!  I think I’ve cried more than she has and that’s just because I’m emotional and a little nuts.”

Comedy Central Will Roast Charlie Sheen . . . on the Same Night as Ashton Kutcher’s “Two and a Half Men” Debut

Comedy Central’s next roast victim will be CHARLIE SHEEN.  The roast will tape September 10th, and will air on September 19th, which just happens to be the same night that ASHTON KUTCHER makes his debut on “Two and a Half Men”.

–Obviously, this is NOT a coincidence.

–The prospect of stealing some attention away from the season premiere of the new “Two and a Half Men” MUST have played a role in Charlie’s decision to do the roast . . . but at least for now, he isn’t admitting to it.

(–Charlie replaces KID ROCK, who was supposed to be Comedy Central’s next target.  He had to back out because of a scheduling conflict.)

Justin Bieber’s “Vanity Fair” Is the Worst-Selling Issue in 12 Years

JUSTIN BIEBER’S rabid fan base of teenage girls will throw money at almost ANYTHING related to Justin . . . but not EVERYTHING.

–For example, there’s Justin’s issue of “Vanity Fair”, which came out in February.

–According to some new numbers released yesterday, it’s on track to sell 246,000 copies, which would make it the worst-selling issue in 12 YEARS.  For comparison, “Vanity Fair” has averaged 342,000 in sales per issue this year.

–A “Vanity Fair” spokesman joked about Justin’s numbers . . . saying, quote, “Who knew 12-year-olds didn’t buy magazines?”

–Here are some more numbers to chew on:  Justin’s October 2010 issue of “Teen Vogue” was down 12% from the magazine’s average sales last year . . . and an issue of “People” that he covered in April of last year was down 25% from normal.

J.K. ROWLING is doing something new and “Harry Potter”-related, but we don’t know what it is.  We’ve heard that it’s NOT a new book, though.

–All we know so far is that there’s a website called PotterMore.com.  It’s got a picture of two owls on it, plus the words “Coming soon” followed by Rowling’s signature.

–If you click on the owls, it takes you to a YouTube site where there’s a countdown to Rowling’s announcement . . . whatever it’s going to be.  According to the clock, the announcement will be made this Thursday.

–It also says, quote, “The owls are gathering . . . find out why soon.”

Hugh Hefner Has Moved the Shannon Twins Back Into the Playboy Mansion

–HUGH HEFNER wasted no time replacing his runaway bride.  Hef has moved the 21-year-old SHANNON TWINS . . . KARISSA and KRISTINA . . . back into the Playboy Mansion.

–And they were actually back in BEFORE Saturday . . . the day Hugh was supposed to marry CRYSTAL HARRIS.

–Karissa and Kristina first moved into the Mansion back in 2008 . . . but they moved out about a year and a half ago, after Crystal became his #1 girl.

A Brief “Daytime Emmys” Rundown

The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards went down last night on CBS.

–“The Bold & the Beautiful” won the Best Drama Series award for the third-straight year.  Although that dominance is getting less and less impressive with each passing year, as soap operas continue to drop like flies.

–”The Ellen DeGeneres Show” won Best Entertainment Talk Show for the second year in a row, and REGIS PHILBIN and KELLY RIPA shared the Best Talk Show Host award with MEHMET OZ.  And that wasn’t the only TIE.

–“Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” tied for Best Game Show . . . beating “Cash Cab” which had won three straight years.  That was convenient, because hosts ALEX TREBEK and PAT SAJAK also received lifetime achievement awards.

–But “Cash Cab” host BEN BAILEY took home his second straight Emmy for Best Game Show Host.

–Oprah was also honored last night despite the fact that she wasn’t there.

Lance Bass Has Created a Singing Competition Show to Find America’s Next Boy Band

–LANCE BASS is developing a show for VH1 where he pledges to find the next BOY BAND.  It’s unclear if it’ll have the same tired formula as all the other singing competition shows . . . with judges and weekly eliminations . . . but it sounds like it will.

–Lance says, quote, “It’s a really great music show, starring [singers from] all your favorite boy bands . . . I got a member from BACKSTREET BOYS, A.J. MCLEAN, a member from ‘N SYNC, JOEY FATONE . . .

–”A member from NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK, JOE MCINTYRE, and a member from NEW EDITION, BOBBY BROWN.” Technically, he doesn’t “have” Bobby yet, but Lance is optimistic.  He says, quote, “I think Bobby will do it.  I think he’d love it.”

“Green Lantern” Came In #1 . . . But Fell Short of Financial Expectations

“Green Lantern” is the new #1 movie in the country after earning $52.7 million this weekend.  That’s a strong opening but is still lower than any other superhero movie this year . . . which also saw a $55 million debut from “X-Men: First Class” and a $65 million opening weekend for “Thor”.

–That’s also less than what the studio was hoping for.  Especially since “Green Lantern” cost about $200 million to make.  Here are this week’s Top 5 movies . . .

1.)  (NEW)  “Green Lantern”, $52.7 million.

2.)  “Super 8″, $21.3 million.  Up to $72.8 million in its 2nd week.

3.)  (NEW)  “Mr. Popper’s Penguins”, $18.2 million.

4.)  “X-Men: First Class”, $11.5 million. Up to $120 million in its 3rd week.

5.)  “The Hangover Part 2″, $9.6 million.  Up to $233 million in its 4th week.
