If you missed it I can honestly tell you it was the best ever!  It was a wild party (I think Butler winning may have helped that too) but everyone was enjoying cocktails and even better LOTS OF CLEAVAGE!  There may be a pic floating around where I was looking for a lost quarter too…unreal.

Don’t miss it next year!

Here Are Seven Things Your Boss Should Never Say To You

#1.) “I pay your salary. You have to do what I say.” Comes off a little threatening, doesn’t it? Yeah, that’s not going to fly.

#2.) “I don’t want to hear your complaints.” Actually, as the boss, it’s part of your job to hear your employees’ complaints. It may be painful, but it comes with the territory.

#3.) “I was here on Saturday afternoon. Where were you?” This is a not-so-subtle way of pressuring your employees to work all the time. Eventually, it’ll cause them to burn out, hate you, and quit.

#4.) “Isn’t your performance review coming up soon?” If the goal is to motivate your workers, there’s no better way to make sure it DOESN’T happen than with a passive-aggressive comment like that.

#5.) “We’ve always done it this way.” I know you’re the “genius” who runs the place, but there’s a chance your employees . . . you know, the people who do all the ACTUAL work . . .have a few good ideas about how to do their jobs.

#6.) “We need to cut costs.” All your employees will hear is that there’s a chance they’ll be unemployed soon. You see how that could be a little demoralizing?

#7.) “You need to step it up.” If you have a critique or a suggestion, you need to be specific. If you’re too vague, it’s confusing, it creates tension, and it’s not all that helpful.

Didn’t think it would EVER be true but it seems the more guys do around the house the more you hate it.  Here’s the story (I cut most of it just so you get the point)

Dads are helping out with childrearing more and more these days. The result can be both a boon and a letdown for super-moms, whose self-competence can take a hit when paired with husbands who are savvy caregivers, new research finds.

The findings reveal the fallout as women have entered the workplace in droves over recent decades, many of them leaving young children at home. One result is mothers have less time for care-giving. Past studies have shown working moms are torn between full-time careers and stay-at-home duties. And lately more diligent dads are helping out with the diaper-changing and other household duties.

But since mothers pride themselves on being just that – moms – their self-esteem can take a blow.

NCAA Tourney

Posted in: Hunter

THE BEST TIME OF THE  YEAR IS HERE!  Seriously I look forward to this ALL year.  It’s the beginning of nice weather AND the boss expects you to waste time watching NCAA games.  How great is this?

So far…(1 game in) my bracket is busted!  ND lost (thanks) and BYU v. Florida is in double OT.  Villanova is tied with 1:30 to go.  Bracket is busted BUT it’s still sunny and 65 out.  How could you NOT love this?

I knew it!!  So do you think the more cats you have the smarter you are?  Because if that’s the case, I’ll brilliant!!

From www.theAnimalRescueSite.com:

Study shows cat people tend to be more academic

Feb 26, 2010 7:45:25 AM

Though the cats versus dogs debate has been waged for centuries, scientists in the UK suggest that your choice in pet may indicate a lot about who you are as a person.

A study, which was conducted at Bristol University and published in the Veterinary Record, revealed that 47 percent of households with a cat had a resident with a college education, while only 38 percent of homes with dogs had a degree holder.

Jane Murray, who led the study, suggested that the disparity could be a result of the fact that those who have a college diploma are more likely to work long hours.

So why do academics prefer feline friends? “It is unlikely to be related to household income. . . but it could be related to household members with longer working hours having less time available to care for a dog,” said Muray.

In addition, the information collected found that women under the age of 65 were most likely to own a pet, while dogs are more commonly owned by those who live in rural areas or have access to a garden.

If you decide to adopt a pet from a local animal rescue shelter, consider the time and space that you have to offer a furry friend before taking the cat or dog of your choice home. ADNFCR-2796-ID-19638698-ADNFCR

As many of you know, I am a HUGE fan of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and I know some of you are too!  Didn’t have time for this in my Dirt report this morning but if you love “Buffy” like me, you’ll find this interesting and a little sad too.  I love Xander. *Sigh*

Xander From “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” Enjoyed Some Alcohol . . . And Ended Up Being Tased By Police

NICHOLAS BRENDON . . . who played Xander on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” . . . had to be

tased by police, after getting a little too drunk on Tuesday night.

–According to reports, police found him while responding to a disturbing the peace complaint in

Venice, California. There was some sort of melee . . . in which Nicholas allegedly took a swing at

a cop, and then tried to flee the scene.

–Eventually, the police needed to use a stun gun . . . twice . . . to subdue him. He was arrested and

booked for felony vandalism. Apparently, he damaged some property during his wild escape

attempt.

It’s unclear whether he’ll face additional charges . . . particularly regarding the alleged

attempt to assault a police officer.
